CONSUMER RIGHTS
As a customer shopping with Abundo, you’re protected by a set of fundamental rights — both under the law and as part of how we choose to do business. Here’s what that means for you, explained simply.
1. The Right to Accurate Information
Before you buy anything, you’re entitled to clear, honest information about what you’re purchasing — its price, what it does, what’s included, and how long it will take to arrive.
Example: If a product is advertised as “100% genuine leather” but the item you receive is actually made from synthetic or PU leather, that’s misleading information. You have the right to raise this with our Support Team, and we will review the listing, take corrective action, and assist you with a resolution (such as a return, replacement, or refund).
2. Your Right to a Fair Return Process
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, you have the right to return it and receive a refund — without unnecessary obstacles, as outlined in our Return & Refund Policy.
Example: You order a 250ml perfume bottle, but a 100ml bottle arrives instead. This is a textbook case where your return and refund rights apply, and we will never make this process unreasonably difficult for you.
3. The Right to Data Privacy
Your personal information — your name, address, payment details, browsing behavior — belongs to you. We only use it the way we’ve described in our Privacy Policy, and you have the right to ask us what data we hold about you and how it’s used.
Example: If you want to know whether we share your email with third-party marketing partners, you can simply ask our Support Team, and we’ll explain exactly how your data is used.
4. The Right to Fair, Transparent Pricing
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — no last-minute fees sprung on you after you’ve already committed to buy (with the one clearly disclosed exception of KSA customs duties not prepaid at checkout, which are explained in our Customs & Tariffs Fees page).
Example: If your cart shows AED 180 at checkout and you’re suddenly charged AED 220 with no explanation, that’s a violation of this right — and something we’d want to know about immediately.
5. The Right to Complain and Be Heard
If something about your experience with Abundo falls short — a late delivery, a confusing policy, an unhelpful interaction — you have the right to raise it with us, and we commit to responding respectfully and in a timely manner.
Example: If you feel a previous support interaction didn’t resolve your issue properly, you can always escalate by contacting us again and asking for the matter to be reviewed further.
6. Limitations Specific to Our Sourcing Model
As a global sourcing platform, certain consumer protections that apply to locally-stocked retail goods may differ for items sourced internationally on your behalf, particularly regarding warranty coverage, return windows for customized sourcing requests, and delivery timeframes. These differences are outlined in our Terms & Conditions and Shipping & Handling Policy.
7. Which Laws Govern These Rights?
Your rights as outlined here are exercised under the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), as further detailed in our Terms & Conditions.
